Overview
Trimlyt is a lightweight appointment and performance tracker for barbers and small salons. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your information.
Information We Collect
- Account information: email and password used for signing in.
- Profile data: avatar image and user settings (currency, theme, language, etc.).
- Appointments & services: details you enter (service name, price, date, client email, extras).
- Google integration data: when you connect Google, we store your Google account email and a refresh token to access your calendar for importing and syncing events. We do not access your email inbox or send email on your behalf.
How We Use Your Data
- To provide core app functionality (appointments, analytics, services management).
- To import and sync calendar events when you explicitly enable Google integration.
- To store preferences and improve user experience.
Analytics & Cookies
Trimlyt uses Google Analytics to understand how users interact with the app. This helps us improve features, fix bugs, and optimize performance.
- Data collected: pages visited, time spent, device type, browser, general location (country/city level, not precise), and app events (e.g., login, appointment created).
- Cookies used: Google Analytics sets cookies to track sessions and user behavior over multiple visits.
- Purpose: to understand app usage patterns and improve user experience.
Your control: You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by disabling cookies in your browser settings. Opting out does not affect core app functionality.
Google Integration
If you choose to connect a Google account, Trimlyt requests only the following scopes:
- View your email address: used to display which account is connected.
- Manage your calendar events: used to import events you mark with the
TL [Service] [Price]pattern and to create/edit events when you create or update appointments in Trimlyt.
We do not request permission to read or send your email. You can disconnect Google at any time in Settings; disconnecting will remove the stored refresh token and connected email address from our servers.
Third-Party Services
We use third-party services for hosting (e.g., Render, MongoDB Atlas). Please review their privacy policies for details.
Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your account and appointment data until you delete your account. You can request deletion by contacting support. When you disconnect integrations, we remove related tokens from our database.
Security
We use standard industry practices to protect your data, including hashed passwords, HTTPS, and access controls. However, no system is completely secure — if you suspect a security breach, contact us immediately.
Your Choices
You may update your profile, disconnect Google, or request account deletion. To disconnect Google, go to Settings → Integrations and click Disconnect.
